I am broke because I want to be. I have not worked for 7 years now to raise our 2 children to school age. My husband has gone from a nightshift job earning penalty rates to a normal dayshift position. With rising petrol prices and interest rates (in Australia) our finances are extremely tight - but these are the choices we have made for ourselves. I am happy with this choice and I know that it won't be forever, though sometimes I do need to remind myself and husband of this. I do though look forward to the day when I will have more freedom to choose a healthier financial life.
Sounds like an interesting book - thanks for the review.
