Motivating yourself to shine at your job or to be an example to your staff, shouldn’t be something that you do only when the spirit moves you.

It is a continuing process that should include each aspect of your business life. This implies your psychological angle, physical contentment and appearance, work atmosphere, your interplay with others ( clients and employees alike ), and your off-the-job environment. Inspirational gurus get paid big money to inform executives, trying for success, that they must constantly inspect these elements. How does one do that?

Follow these five tips that follow, and watch the changes.

Always Maintain a Positive Outlook – Let’s understand that life is only ten percent of what happens to us and ninety percent how we respond to it. When you are around other people / things that are inspiring and positive, you’re feeling that way. You’ve more confidence in yourself, and know you can change whatever wants changing.

If you can make your workplace such a place you will find happier employees and higher production. You could even find your workers anticipate coming to work.

Leave Personal Difficulties at Home – Everybody has issues, but they do not belong at work. This will be good for you because you will get a psychological break from your difficulties.

Create Positive confirmations – the reason behind writing goals for your business is the same as creating positive confirmations on paper. What your eyes see and ears hear, your intellect will believe. After you have written them down, read them out loud to oneself – and do it each morning when you get into work.

Come up with a group of fresh affirmations each month. Statements such as, “I’m a crucial and valuable person,” or “I know I should make efficient use of my time today.” Repeating them aloud everyday at a set time will help reinforce positive actions.

Ensure Break Times Are Truly Break Times – This is an area where most bosses / entrepreneurs fall down. You become so intense about the project or situation you are working on that you do not ease up.

Thinking that it will be figured out in the following few seconds, and then you will get a cup of joe can lead you right up to quitting time. Frequently sticking to a mentioned break schedule, even if you are the MD, releases the strain. If you work on a PC this is even a larger problem because before you realize it – you have been working in that very same position for hours.

The best answer to this is to set yourself a reminder on your appointment calendar for each two hours, and let the PC reminder chime send you the caution to move around.

Always Make To Exercise! I do not mean that you need to go out and join a gymnasium or workout everyday at lunch-time, 3-days-a-week there working out. What’s truly advantageous and workable is that at those chiming alerts from your PC, get up and walk around your desk or room. Perhaps go outside and get the post and enjoy the daylight ( if you are a businessman which has a SOHO office ), or merely get up and do one or two stretches.

Then when we move we “ooh” and “ouch” because we’ve knotted up into a ball of strain. Regular stretching, even at our desk, or simply getting up and walking over to the window and getting a different view can be helpful. One of the best disservice modern business decor has done to us, is making our offices spotless, graceful, unfettered spaces.

There’s not a lot more relaxing than getting up from your desk and walking over to a peaceful, tranquil, seascape or pastoral painting and just drinking it in visually.

Temporarily transporting your intellect out of work and into that place performs marvels. One or two good paintings and less glossy chrome in offices would benefit us all. It only takes a little concentrated effort on our part to keep incentivized and productive, leading to success.

When you begin your journey as an entrepreneur you learn very quickly single most valuable asset to yourself and business is their time. Nothing can replace your valuable and precious time!

No matter how rich or poor you are, no matter how many things are on your ‘to-do’ list, you still just get the regulation twenty-four hours each day. Sometimes I could use a thirty or forty hour day but that isn’t going to happen. I’ll bet that you could use more hours in your work day, as well.

The thing about those twenty-four allotted hours per day is that we can’t spend all of them working. We have to sleep some of them. We have what I call non-opts opts which means you don’t have an option not to do things. Example of this would be taking time to eat and taking a shower.

Who Requires Most Of Our Time?

Our families and our friends require some of our time. Relationships must be nurtured. So…we can allow ourselves just so many work hours each day. Since our working time is limited that means that we must make the very most of the hours that we work. We can’t waste time on unimportant details or on tasks that others can do.

When you shave a few minutes here and a few minutes there, you will make more efficient use of your allotted work hours. Here are a few suggestions and in the interest of saving your time (and mine), I’ll keep this brief and to the point.

Controlling Your Email Accounts

We all have various email accounts. We use one account for this and another account for that. Checking each and every email account more than once a day can be a time consuming task that you very easily make less time consuming by having all of the email that comes to all of your various email account to come into one gmail account. One email account takes a lot less time than several and you can still maintain all of your various email addresses.

Additionally, you don’t need to spend a lot of time reading and answering emails that are not going to add to your bottom line.

Email comes in several varieties. There are emails that are business related, emails that are important but not business related and emails that are simply frivolous and time wasting. If an email has been forwarded several times, don’t waste your time.

If an email is addressed to a great many people, don’t waste any time on it either. Email can consume a lot of time. You need to filter the important from the irrelevant and only spend time on those emails that are related to your business.

Setup Time Tables To Prioritize Your Day

A scheduled work day is an efficient work day. You will get a lot more done in a lot less time if you know in advance and can see at a glance what task is next on your list. I like visual aids. A time table is a visual aid. It can help you allot your time efficiently and productively!

Focus on result producing activities

When you make your work day schedule, you need to be certain that the tasks that you schedule are the ones that will in fact make your business grow and thrive. Don’t waste your time, effort and energy on tasks that can be done by others.

Outsourcing…It actually works!

You can add hours to your day each and every day when you outsource the mundane business tasks to others. You can outsource such tasks as bookkeeping and accounting, article/E-book writing and submission, travel and event planning and ad writing. Others can do these tasks better and more efficiently than you can and your time is better spent on growing your business, making those contacts and closing those deals!
