A few years ago if you wanted to locate the best cell phone plan in your area, it probably took you many hours in your day visiting different cellular retail stores. Fast forward to the present and these days it has never been easier to find the perfect cell phone plan. You can now find the best cell phone in just a few minutes, all from the convenience of your home or office.

The other day I discovered a cool site called MyRatePlan that features one the largest selections of cell plans with the best prices in any area in the U.S. It also provides great reviews, and informative articles. The site helps you choose the best cell phone plan in your local area, and you’ll be able to match that plan with the cell phone of your choice. Most plans these days offer great offers when you purchase the a new phone and plan together. The only caveat are most of these plans come with a one or two contract.

If your looking forward to saving time and money on your next phone or plan purchase you need check this site out. One more thing… I am not an affiliate or have a partnership with MyRatePlan, it’s just a good informative site that needed mentioning.

After monitoring my cell phone statements from the past two months, I realized most of my calls were incoming, and my outgoing calls were to callers on the same network…I’m currently with Sprint. With that information in hand and the CellCalc tool on MyRatePlan. I was able to find a new plan within minutes.

“As it turns out, women probably aren’t saving enough to bankroll those extra years in style. They invest more conservatively, start saving later and are more likely to be in and out of the work force, according to a study released by Hewitt Associates, a human resources consulting firm”.

The article makes me wonder, because I see and know so many woman who are excelling in the job force. The article goes on to say:

“Women live an average of 22 years after retirement versus 19 years for men and medical costs are rising, so women will need to save 2% more than men every year over 30 years to maintain their standard of living upon retirement, the study found.”

The study states some of the factors that women are not saving have to do with their inherent characteristics. Typically, women are more conservative when it comes to money, which causes them to start investing at a later age than men do. Also women tend to in be and out of the work force to have babies and raise our children.

Here are more factors the states why women tend save less than their counterparts for retirement…

Women tend to be a little more risk averse.

Tend to fear the loss of money more.

Women do not contribute at a high enough level to take advantage of the company match

On average, women earned significantly less than men($84,000 for men compared to 57,000 for women)
