WalMart Adds Prescription Drugs To $4 Generic Program

The retail discount giant Wal-Mart has added 11 more prescribed drugs to their low-cost generic-drug plan, which now offers 157 different medications.  The latest drugs on the list include including treatments for acne, attention-deficit disorder, glaucoma and fungal infections. It will also make available two types of birth control pills and one fertility drug for $9 a prescription.

As for myself, I have purchased prescription medicine from WalMart’s discount plan, and it definitely pays off at times.  For example. the co-pay for medicine on my health plan is $10 dollars, which I usually purchase at a CVS or Walgreens pharmacy. However, for allergy and cold symptoms I go to Wal-Mart because it saves me $6 dollars per prescription. Please check out the complete list of prescribtion drugs Wal-Mart offers with their $4 dollar generic plan.

Just make sure if you go to Wal-Mart to fill a prescription, you only go for that very reason. I remember the first time I used their generic plan, I paid $8 dollars for 2 prescriptions, but ended up spending over $100 buying products on impulse….
